|WWII Aviation and Memorabilia Collection
This website is dedicated to the brave men from every nation, who fought and died in the air. This website does not promote any political
beliefs and exists only as a place of historical interest in the world of military aviation between the years of 1936 and 1945.
I have been a WWII collector for over 15 years. My collection centers around the medals, awards, documents, photographs, headgear and
other types of memorabilia relating to the German Luftwaffe, the United States Army Air Corp., US Navy, US Marine Corp. and the British
Royal Air Force. I am a member of the American Fighter Aces Association and have had the great opportunity to meet and associate with
many of our nations greatest aviators. I have also had the opportunity to meet a number of Germany's greatest aces and aviators. Each
and every one of these men I had the chance to meet were gentlemen in the truest sense of the word. They were ordinary men who were
called upon to conduct themselves exceptionally in extraordinary circumstances in the defense of their nation and its people. Afterwards,
the majority of them returned to a simple life and remained proud but humble of the amazing feats they had accomplished. We shall owe
them a great debt of gratitude for as long as we endeavor to remember what they accomplished. Our memories should last forever!
VMF-214 "The Black Sheep Squadron"
This website was established as a living memorial to aviators of all nations who fought the air wars during WWII. I hope to share
and display a small portion of my WWII aviation collection and hope to hear from other WWII aviation collectors and enthusiasts.
I see each piece in my collection as a piece of living history, that should be preserved for future generations. There are a number of
pages to my website, each with its own specific point of interest. Have a comment or a question, please feel free to click on
"Kilroy" and send me an email. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and exploring the world of WWII aviation.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter silver wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
